For some women the symptoms of peri-menopause, due to hormonal imbalances, can be very debilitating and last a few months to a few years. Research suggests dietary factors including phytoestrogens, omega 3 fatty acids and reducing caffeine intake can help with symptoms such as hot flushes.
The menopause can also increase the risk of developing both heart disease and osteoporosis.
I can guide you through the simple diet and lifestyle changes which can help reduce this risk and navigate through the mood swings, fatigue and flushes.

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or PCOS is a relatively common condition thought to affect 1 in 10 women and can be characterised by features including irregular or absent periods, excessive hair around face and chest and acne .
A PCOS diagnosis carries long term health risks including increased risk of Diabetes and Heart Disease. PCOS is associated with insulin resistance and hyperinsulinaemia and hormonal imbalances, namely higher levels of testosterone.
I can talk you through the latest evidence including the ideal type of carbohydrates to choose, importance of regular meals and enjoyable movement to increase your insulin sensitivity.

A well-planned Vegan/Vegetarian diet can be very healthy, however all too often I find clients ‘go Vegan’ with little planning and following a restrictive diet can lead to nutrient deficiencies. Together we will talk through the nutrients that need the extra focus including Iron, Vitamin B12, Calcium and Protein. If you are struggling to know how to create a balanced plate of food I can provide quick and simple vegan meal ideas that tick a lot of the nutrition boxes!

I went to Victoria to get advise about my diet for weight training. I found the information that she gave me extremely helpful. I was impressed with her thorough knowledge of supplements but most of all her focus on pre as well as post workout nutrition. I would highly recommend Victoria to anyone.

Victoria has given advice to our 12 year old and our family, to help us manage her type1 diabetes, alongside a more recent diagnosis of coeliacs. Neither condition is easy to manage, never mind having a dual diagnosis at a young age. With such a focus on food currently at home, who better to talk to than Victoria. Her professional approach and the wealth of experience she has to draw on were very reassuring to us as a family, just at the time we needed to hear it. Victoria pitched her advice at our daughter's level and we know that we'll return for further dietary advice as we need in the future.

I contacted Victoria in an effort to understand how and what way of eating would help with my PCOS diagnosis. She was incredibly understanding and willing to answer even the smallest of questions. I really felt that she was interested in helping me find the best way of eating for my condition and life style as a mum of 2 young boys. The follow up information Victoria sent was extremely detailed and personal to my situation which I am very grateful for. I highly recommend Victoria and will definitely be consulting with her in the future.
